New Beginning

So, I’m back! And I’m back for one reason in particular. I decided that it’s best for me to start blogging now as the result of one thing…I’ve changed my major.

That’s right. I’m officially an English Major (with High School Licensure)!

It’s quite okay. I really didn’t believe it either, but as it turns out, I’m not meant to be a music major. There was a minor identity crisis when I realized that four years of intricately planning to be a music major were about to float violently down the drain, but I realized something: I’m happier being an English major; I’m happier having music a something that I love doing and not as a profession.

I’m approaching my next semester is going to be a new beginning. I have so much more freedom as an English major. I can study abroad without jumping around a bunch of scheduling conflicts, and I can take classes because I want to take them (not because they were placed into my schedule).

A new beginning and a new challenge. Bring it on!
